Why train with Sunseeker?
In this 75 Hour training, we delve deep into the origins of yin yoga, TCM Meridians and 5 element theory, anatomy for yin, sharing and cueing of yin yoga postures, how to facilitate and hold space for others and the art of mindful touch and assisting.
Bec Dundas is joined by renowned industry professionals from the yoga space, Traditional Chinese Medicine practice, physiology and anatomical practices and leading voices connected by the belief in a holistic approach to sharing yoga.
You will learn through curated sessions the skills required to lead a yin yoga class in Australia and internationally or online. Bec’s guiding principles are based around key values of leading with heart and authenticity, that yoga is for every body and that as we evolve in this industry so must our knowledge and understanding of colonial structures, best practice, consent and people.
You will also develop a sense of inquiry for the kind of facilitator you are becoming, what you hold close in your moral compass and the humanity you wish to share as part of this journey.
This is more than a yoga course, it’s a holistic framework to assist you on your journey - remaining respectful to honour the traditions of yoga through a modern lens, led with passion and creativity. Upon completing this course you will receive a certificate and evidence of acquired hours.
By the end you will feel confident in sharing:
Yin yoga postures safely, with options and props
Somatic exercises for nervous system regulation
Breath work techniques for Yin
Basic understanding of Meridians and poses that support/affect them in a TCM context
How to hold meaningful space for others
A practice that is thoughtfully curated with sound, energy and movement for all bodies
Myofascial release techniques using mfr balls and blocks, including the contraindications and anatomy knowledge to support your students and those you are guiding

Yes! You can participate in the 50hr yin + the 25hr myofascial release, giving you the full 75hrs OR you can do either the yin or the MFR if you’re looking to add to your established training or tool kit as a practitioner
-
Part of your pre-learning reading and anatomy training will be delivered in online modules, though we believe this training is best experienced IRL with bodies in space and as kinesthetic learners to synthesise the information and inspire confidence in your capabilities
-
We combine a thoughtful, human-centered approach with space to connect as a group and individually. We cap numbers to 12 for small group sizes and more 1:1 education in our short time together. Bec introduces a diverse tool kit within the yin yoga training that honours tradition but allows you to see the art of sharing yin through a modern lens.

No, it isn’t. We feel that advocacy has to align with current best practice and modern accessibility for all people to participate in the practice of yin. We empower others to see that their experiences, their learnings, how they gather information that impacts the kind of teacher they become comes down to trusting in your inner compass, aligning yourself with good mentors and teachers and practicing sharing the art of yin and mfr over time to build confidence and skills as a practitioner. We don’t believe you need external bodies of advocacy to achieve this in 2026.
