Nestled on the journey towards the marvellous Cradle Mountain lies the rustic cottages of Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat - a haven for quiet, calm and connecting with the natural world around us.
Moina is around 1 hour 50 mins from Launceston and just 1 hour 15 mins from Devonport.
In this 3-night retreat we will cultivate a sanctuary that will rebirth us out from the winter solstice looking skyward towards the lighter, longer days. You will land in this sacred space and immerse yourself in the landscape with warmth from our retreat leaders and supported by your fellow yogis.
A bit about Bec
Bec will be your lead facilitator for the retreat and has been sharing yoga practice for over 10 years. Bec’s classes are mindful and intuitive with space and freedom to explore movement and find your inner sanctuary.
Bec will guide you through morning practice and facilitate your sessions in a private and quiet studio on site with herbal teas, cacao by the fire and naturopathic herbal tinctures.
In addition to daily yoga, meditation practice, slow movement, journalling and intention setting, we also have a two-hour workshop Saturday with guest facilitator Skye Gibson.
Embodied Cosmology: A journey to remember the land and sky within
Skye's session is an invitation to explore the mystical world of living energy; to step beyond ordinary time and into the liminal - the place where myth and medicine meet. Weaving timeless teachings and sacred energetics from the Andean medicine tradition with storytelling, sound and her own energy artistry, Skye will guide us on a journey through our inner landscape. This is a place to 'come home' - to reconnect with the heart of who we are and our own inner medicine, and to remember our interconnectedness with the vast web of life.

Skye is a mesa carrier of the Andean medicine tradition, visionary guide, and teacher of energetics, empowerment, and embodiment. Her work is about supporting people to awaken and deepen their connection with their own inner medicine so they can more fully claim and embody the heart of who they are. SLOW LIVING
We’ve become accustomed to fast paced living. Down here, you’ll breathe in pristine Tassie air, switch your phone to Do Not Disturb and connect back to the self and your intuitive senses. Yin Yoga invites us to lean into the stillness, invite slow conscious breath and melt into movement feeling held and quieter in our minds.

Our rhythm will be connected, yet unhurried. You’ll have space for deep rest, solo time to explore, walk, read and emerge feeling a sense of freedom and contentment. Space to just be.
Once we’ve received your booking confirmation deposit, you’ll also receive a detailed schedule for the weekend so you can plan any extra activities. See below for early bird fee.
If your spirit calls you to linger in this beautiful part of the world a little longer, the stunning Cradle Mountain and surrounding national park is full of incredible day walks and multi day hikes for all levels.
This will truly be an otherworldly experience, up with the clouds and far from the busyness of our every day.

Transfers and flights / travel to and from the venue. If you need any support or guidance in picking the right fare or time, please get in touch. There may be others you can carpool with and share fuel costs
Wet/cold weather gear - please prepare for the elements with puffer jacket, raincoat, umbrella, warm clothing and comfortable loose-fitting yoga wear

CANCELLATION POLICY
Full refunds available 8 weeks before the event start date, partial (50%) refund available 6 weeks to start date, after which the full fee paid is non-refundable.
Unwind in the mountains at Lemonthyme
There are several options for accommodation at the venue, from shared spaces to private king suites. A king suite can also host a couple or two friends or sisters keen to split the price of the deluxe space - please enquire for this retreat adjusted rate. The rustic dining space boasts an open fire, delicious Tasmanian produce and local wines. This retreat should leave you feeling rejuvenated and content, so please grab that glass of wine if it’s calling you and be the architect of your own inner bliss.
With space to explore the site, you can wander through tall trees, sacred Man Ferns, moss hop to waterfalls and soak in the surroundings. Expect to see small creature friends early in the morning or late afternoon and tune into radio mother nature. On the Sunday morning there will be an optional guided bush walk, which you can join or opt out of for an extra sleep in or a quiet slow morning to read or relax.
